Use 360° Licencing
When buying relicensed software, companies should always rely on a knowledgeable, experienced and reliable source, which strictly observes all legal requirements within the second hand software market. Capefoxx is that partner. We warrant the full legal compliance of all transactions and provide a complete proof of ownership for every purchase.
Why buy relicensed software
For many companies the cost factor associated with licensing from Microsoft software is not to be underestimated. Furthermore, there is a significant upwards trend in the magnitude of these costs over the years. Microsoft is constantly enhancing its range of products and is always adding new functionality to its existing software suite. This tends to lead to price increases. However for many customers many of these new features are never used or adapted by their organisation. The relicensed software market offers an opportunity to avoid getting these upgrade costs on a yearly basis. The cost savings by using relicensed software can be as high as 70% compared to buying the latest version from Microsoft.
Benefits for your organisation
Significant
Savings
You can dramatically reduce your company’s IT expenditure by saving up to 70% on software cost for standard Microsoft software. Licences that suit your needs
Buying relicensed software enables you to tailor your licensing purchase to suit your specific requirements. Your company can get the precise software version that you actually needs for your IT infrastructure which may well be two releases below the current version from Microsoft.Freeing yourself from dependencies
You can free your organisation from a contractual dependency from Microsoft where you always have to renew your frame agreement either every year or every third year. Now your organisation are in the driving seat and not Microsoft.Releasing funds for investment
The use of relicensed software reduces cost, which frees up funds for investments. For example it might enable your organisations to invest in new technology sooner within other areas of your business due to the cost savings that were made on your Microsoft software portfolio.

The buying process
For the main part buying relicensed software does not differ from the usual procurement process of buying new Microsoft software. However there are some distinctions. You might be buying an older version of software and you need to know what licence terms apply for this version, as they might be different from the new software terms of the products. That is why you need to work with skilled people that do know these rules – like the Capefoxx staff.
01
Offer & agreement
Ensure you get the correct products suited for your needs.
02
Obtain the right documentation of the licences you have been offered.
Licensee is obliged to provide the proof of where the licences come from (previous owner) and the documentation showing this, and the full licence chain from the previous owner. You also need to see the deletion statement from the previous owner, to ensure they have uninstalled the software
03
Transfer
Once you sign the offer, make sure the licence is transferred to your organisation, and all proper documentation. It’s not good enough just to get a key. At capefoxx we work with Deloitte a known software auditor, they can make a conformity statement for your organisation, validating the licences documentation Capefoxx has provided to you. We call this an audit secure statement, as is proof towards Microsoft, in a case of an audit, that a Microsoft auditor has validated the licence bought in the relicensed software market.
